Saturday, September 26th: Farewell to Saturday!!
AIFD's last Saturday at Hancock Recreation Center. We'll have live music and turn it into a great celebration.
Friday, October 2nd: Welcome to Friday!!
Our first Friday at Hancock Recreation Center. We will make it an Open House, so invite all of your friends!

Teaching: From the teaching director: Thank you to everyone who graduated from Summer School -- By Popular Demand! See the entire top 100 dances here. Come this week, request the dances you learned, and practice them on the dance floor. Look for a new series next week!

September 19th is International Talk Like a Pirate Day, and what’s a band of landlocked pirates Pirateto do, but gambol the night away? So don yer finest high-seas garb, and let’s shiver the timbers of Hancock! We’ll take no prisoners, only yer demands for dances from the shores of faraway lands… Yarrr.

Upcoming "other dance" features:
Wednesdays: Scandinavian Music Jams and Dance!!
The Austin Scandi Folk Music & Dance community holds FREE weekly jam sessions at the back room of Austin Scandi Dancersthe Hancock Rec Center! A themed session runs from 7:30 to about 8:15, followed by a regular jam. Bring your instrument of choice, or come out and dance to the music! Then once a month the Scandi group will devote the entire evening to dancing. All levels welcome!

Saturday, September 5th Brazil Day Austin 2015
Brazil Day Austin 2015 is the biggest Brazilian music festival of the year. You will experience continuous entertainment from 7pm to 1am by some of the best Brazilian acts in Austin. Brazilian food by Boteco Food Truck. Brazilian drinks and other drink specials available from Texas White Hat Rum. Tickets here. This an all ages show. Children under 12 free.

Greek Dance & Music Weekend!
