"I would like to let you know that long-time folk-dancer, Helen Hyams, passed away on the morning of October 10th, according to her husband, Frank Ray. I have not been able to locate any obituary information about her online. Many of the "old-timers" at AIFD know Helen, which is why I wanted to share this information. I've attached an article I found online from a Balkan workshop that Helen ran in Florida, in 1974. She lived in Florida before moving to Austin." - Nancy Lanier.
