Franklin HoustonJohn Ramage Enjoy a lively evening of folk dancing with DJ Franklin Houston. Franklin will be assisted by John Ramage. Franklin will be emphasizing old favorites, so everyone will be able to do lots of fun dances.
Rikki NicolaeTeaching: We continue Summer School - By Popular Demand! Beginning at 7:30 p.m., Rikki Nicolae will continue leading us through our top 100 favorite dances.

Saturday, August 8th: Polar Exposure and Birthday / Anniversary Celebration!
CakeChill out at the height of summer as we take to high and mighty latitudes, exploring the dances from our planet’s polar regions! We’ll also be celebrating August birthdays and anniversaries. Do you or a fellow folk dancer have a birthday or anniversary in August? Come out and enjoy some cake!

Austin International Folk Dancers'
Code of Conduct.
AIFD is dedicated to providing a safe and comfortable experience for everyone at AIFD events. On July 11th the AIFD board released its own Code of Conduct. The AIFD board collaborated with the staff at Hancock Code of ConductRec Center and reviewed policies implemented by other groups to develop this code. You can find the link to the code of conduct on the right column of as well as in the "Other dance links" section of the AIFD newsletter. If you have any questions about the code, please feel free to contact an AIFD board member.

The International Folk Culture Center at Our Lady of the Lake University in OLLU English CountrySan Antonio is hosting a workshop around Regency-Era Dances & English Country Dances. Wednesday, July 29th, Scandinavian Dance Party
Christian CieOnce a month, Austin Scandinavian Folk Music and DanceAustin Scandi Dancers will be hosting a dance! This (July 29th) will be the inaugural event. Come on out to dance some of these lovely dances, even if you've never danced them before! There will often be live music as well. FREE! Christian Cie will be your DJ for the evening.
