What facilities were used? Thanks to the efforts of Franklin Houston and others, a hand written history of AIFD has been perserved for our enjoyment. The history was written in the early 1970s and records places where the group danced, names of group leaders, and summary of group attendance going all the way back to just after WWII. This is a fun and treasured document, with many names of interesting folks who helped make Folk Dancing a reality in Austin. Enjoy. Our thoughts go out to Kaye Roth, who underwent knee replacement surgery this week. We wish her a full recovery and a speedy return to dancing.
