It's time for our FREE annual open house! Join us from   7:00 to 9:45 for a festive event with plenty of dance teaching for newcomers. Invite your family, friends, and co-workers to come and discover the joy of folk music and dance! This fun evening will be DJ'd by Madeline Brock. Madeline will be assisted by Calin Nicolae. Teaching: This week at AIFD, we will have a special teaching program to welcome newcomers to our village’s annual Fall Open House. Madeline Brock, Franklin Houston, Kathleen McDonagh and Michel Breger will be our wonderful teachers throughout the evening. Teaching will be interspersed with our regular evening dances so that everyone will have lots of “dancing fun”. Please come welcome newcomers and enjoy an evening with some of your favorite dances to “dance the night away”.

 Friday, October 14th: October Birthday and Anniversary Celebration!!
Do you have a birthday or anniversary in October, or know a fellow folk dancer who does? Come to folk dancing to celebrate with song, dance, and cake!

Friday, October 28th: Halloween Bash!!
 
Get up, dress up, and make up for our annual Halloween party, featuring live music from our friends in La Strada!

Friday, November 11th: No dancing at HRC.
 In honor of Veterans Day, city facilities, including Hancock Rec Center, will be closed.

Friday, November 18th: Texas Camp Band at AIFD!!
Enjoy a preview of this year’s Texas Camp music at dancing -- provided by members of the Texas Camp Band.

Friday, November 25th: Texas Camp - no dancing at HRC.

The Third First Annual POLKAPOCALYPSE! is upon us! Four awesome Polka bands--including two Grammy (TM) winners--will rock the boots off your lederhosen with a crazy mix of Tejano, Czech, German, Ukranian, Polish, Slavic, and Norteno sounds! Elisabet Ney Museum.
