This week at dancing
Genevieve DJs, assisted by Jay.
Genevieve and Jay Join us for a fun evening of dancing DJ'd by Geneveive Kent and her assistant Jay Elbaor. Genevieve's program will include a heavy dose of dances taught at camp throughout the past several years.

MadelineWalter Hoenig We've got a teaching powerhouse this week! At 7:30 p.m., Madeline Brock will lead an exciting newcomers' session focusing on Hungarian and Albanian dances to get us warmed up for Texas Camp. Then comes a double shot of Sestorka! Walt Hoenig will review the basic dance, and Mandi Hellested will make her AIFD teaching debut with some women's variations Rikki Nicholaeon the dance. And the evening wouldn't be complete without Rikki Nicolae's review of Bare Necessities.

Children must be accompanied by an adult.

AIFD Crew Action on the Texas Camp Floor. Let’s carpool and see how many people we can mobilize from AIFD to help assemble the floor at Greene Family Camp (Bruceville, TX). We'll be back before dark. For details contact the floor czars, Mike Revesz or John Alexander.

No dancing at Hancock (Hopefully you will be at Texas Camp).

Saturday, December 7th
Candle Light Trail at Hancock - FREE!!! Join us as we help the community celebrate Hancock's annual Candle Light Trail. Beginning at dusk people from Candleall over will converge on Hancock to walk the trails illuminated with candle light and then come inside for hot chocolate and snacks, as well as a chance to visit with Santa. Around 7:30 (when Santa leaves) AIFD will take over with a series of easy dances done to Christmas and Hanukkah music. Later we transition to our regular program.

Thursday, December 12th: SLAVIC SHAKE at the Russian House! Come at 8pm for an hour of dance teaching by the fabulous Bill Ogilvie and Misi Tsurikov interspersed with live music by Genevieve's band, Korobushka! Wino Vino will go on afterward and feature a medley of Balkan, Klezmer, Latin American, New Orleans style jazz and original tunes that will keep you shakin' that thang all night long. $6 cover, 307 East 5th St.
