David Houston
David Houston 2018It is with great sadness that we bid farewell to David Houston. David passed away last Friday just a few days short of his 97th birthday. Those who have been around folk dancing in Austin for a while are familiar with David's role in helping to build AIFD, including serving as AIFD President in 1963.

David Houston in WWIIDavid served in the US Military in WWII as a medic on the beaches of Anzio, Italy, and was long associated with a group of veterans who endured that horrific battle. We will have a lot more to say about this great man in the next newsletter.
