This week at dancing
Korobushka plays, Franklin DJs, Brenda assists.
|Arrive at 7:30 on Saturday to enjoy a live music set by Korobushka. This will be the last performance by Korobushka with Bruce Salmon. One of the founders of the Inheritance, Bruce has been instrumental in getting Austin musicians interested in Balkan music. Korobushka will perform from 7:45 to 8:30. Franklin Houston will DJ this fun evening, assisted by Brenda Benton. Both Franklin and Misi Tsurikov will be on hand to walk us through some dances that Korobushka will play.
Saturday, April 26th
$5 at the door 17 & older. 16 & under free.
Children must be accompanied by an adult.

It is that time of year to elect the AIFD Board of Trustees. This year's elections are scheduled for May 17th at Saturday Night Dancing. If you would like to run for one of the positions, please talk to someone on the current Board or email the AIFD Board at email@example.com. |

Friday, April 25th, 7pm, Tuvan Throat-singing ensemble Alash.|
The awesome Tuvan throat-singing ensemble Alash will be giving a free concert this Friday at 7 pm at the Scottish Rite Theater, 207 West 18th Street, 78701. The concert is sponsored by UT's Center for Russian, East European, and Eurasian Studies.
Saturday, April 26th, 4-6:30 pm, Bodyshift.
The mixed ability dance group Bodyshift, including Yoshimi Masou, will be performing in the Fusebox Festival on Saturday April 26th. They will start in front of the new court house and eventually ending up in front of the city hall around 5:30pm.
Sunday, April 27th, 5-7pm, AIO's 10th Anniversary.
AIO will celebrate its 10 year anniversary reunion at a garden picnic concert on Sunday April 27th from 5pm, Elm House Garden, 1307 Ruth Avenue. Doors open at 4:30. AIO will play the first half and Mundi will take over. Bring your picnic dinner, chair and blanket. There will be plenty of GF dessert for everyone!
Saturday, May 3rd, 4-4:45pm, Fiddlisa and Friends.
Dance to the lively, international tunes of Fiddlisa and Friends at the 2nd Annual Ney Day festivities at the Elisabet Ney Museum. Before Fiddlisa, an all female "Yes Ma'am Brass Band" will play that also should not be missed.
